What you'll do The Sr. People Systems Engineer plays a lead role in the implementation, management, support, and maintenance of Docusign’s HR systems and processes. This position requires a highly driven individual with strong emotional intelligence, a true self-starter with demonstrated experience in high growth, fast-paced organizations. The successful candidate will have the ability not to just drive consensus and provide direction but will be seen as a hands-on subject matter expert capable of delivering HR technology solutions required to solve complex business issues. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of Enterprise Applications – HRIS. Responsibility Maintain and support the Job and Compensation architecture, ensuring foundational structures align with organizational growth and AI-driven leveling tools Design and optimize Workday Business Processes (BPs) and leverage AI to identify bottlenecks and streamline approval chains for better user experience Manage and audit complex Condition Rules and calculated fields to ensure accurate data routing and system behavior Partner with stakeholders to synthesize process knowledge into improvements and identify opportunities to integrate Machine Learning (ML) to automate repetitive tasks Design, develop, and maintain custom reports and dashboards and utilize predictive modeling and advanced Workday reporting tools to provide proactive workforce insights Ensure the seamless flow of HR data across systems, focusing on maintaining high-quality data sets for AI model readiness and data integrity Provide data, evidence, and documentation for SOX audits, ensuring that both manual and automated workflows remain transparent and auditable Research root causes of system issues; serve as the lead liaison between internal customers and all support entities for complex problem resolution Create test scenarios and perform rigorous testing to ensure all processes specifically AI logic and custom BP to meet predetermined goals Manage documentation for system configurations, AI prompts, and compliance requirements to ensure scalability in a public company environment Bridge time zones effectively and ensure crisp handoffs and decision velocity with US counterparts Job Designation Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation) Positions at Docusign are assigned a job designation of either In Office, Hybrid or Remote and are specific to the role/job. What you bring Basic 8+ years of experience managing enterprise platforms and applications, with significant hands-on experience and proven problem-solving skills in complex environments 5+ years of mandatory experience in Workday HCM (Business Processes, Reporting, Condition Rules), Talent Management, and Learning B.S. degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field Preferred Proven experience maintaining Job Profiles, Grade Profiles, and Compensation Step structures within a global environment Administration or implementation experience with Workday in a public, SOX-compliant environment Experience with Workday Advanced Comp, and Workday Extend is highly preferable Ability to partner with stakeholders across departments to drive the adoption of new technologies and AI-enhanced workflows Ability to manage change effectively, specifically regarding the ethical implications of AI in human resources Demonstrated experience or interest in HR automation, Prompt Engineering, or implementing AI features within enterprise software Life at Docusign Working here Docusign is committed to building trust and making the world more agreeable for our employees, customers and the communities in which we live and work.
