We are seeking a Senior IT Project Manager to lead and drive our technical initiatives to success. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing complex technical projects from inception to completion. Your primary focus will be on project management excellence, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. Additionally, you will leverage your deep technical background to facilitate communication between engineering teams and stakeholders, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with our technical goals and standards.
Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee technical projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within scope.
- Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and provide regular updates.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, both internal and external.
- Technical Expertise:
- Utilize your strong technical background to understand and guide the development process.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure technical requirements are met.
- Facilitate discussions between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay up-to-date with modern APIs, engineering practices, and emerging technologies such as AI/ML.
- Budget Management:
- Manage project budgets and financial resources effectively.
- Track project expenditures and ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Provide cost estimates and forecasts for projects.
- Certification and Standards:
- Hold a PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
- Enforce project management best practices and standards within the organization.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project delivery.
- Communication:
- Foster open and transparent communication within project teams.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams and stakeholders, translating technical concepts into understandable terms.
- Present project updates and reports to executive leadership.
- Leadership and Team Collaboration:
- Motivate and lead project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
- Encourage innovation and continuous improvement.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering) or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager, managing large technical initiatives.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is required.
- Strong technical background with a deep understanding of modern APIs and engineering practices.
- Excellent project management skills, including budget management and risk assessment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Leadership experience and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Highly organized with a keen attention to detail.
