Social Worker Degree

The social worker is responsible for assisting residents and families in adjusting to life in a long term care facility. As well, they will provide social assessment and casework services as part of an interdisciplinary team. The social worker requires strong team interaction skills, the ability to maintain long term professional relationships with residents, and an ability to function with clear and professional boundaries within a residential and institutional home setting. The incumbent will share social work responsibilities in the department including coverage for holidays and sick leave.
