COMPONENT DEVELOPER - Knits & Jersey - Kids

WHAT YOU DO

As a Component Developer, you are the expert behind the building blocks of our

products. You ensure that every component meets the highest standards of

functionality, sustainability, and quality. Your role bridges creativity and technical

precision, driving innovation while securing compliance and cost efficiency.

• Drive component development to secure the best product.

• Lead component quotation and negotiation processes to ensure cost

efficiency and value creation.

• Support seasonal library development and maintenance to ensure

relevance and inspiration.

• Take ownership of new seasonal component development, with keen customer eye to upgrade our newness offer to customer & elevate product offering.

• Collaborate closely with suppliers and internal teams to secure the legal

compliance and necessary data integrity based on the set business strategy.

  • Hands on experience in Knits & Jersey vertical is mandatory to apply for this role.

As a Component Developer, you combine technical expertise with a collaborative

mindset. You approach challenges with structure and ownership, ensuring every

decision is guided by data transparency, sustainability standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Your ability to build strong partnerships and communicate proactively, makes you a trusted contributor to the product development process.

• Approach your work with ownership, structure, and attention to detail.

• Build strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams and

suppliers.

• Communicate clearly, proactively, and with a solution-oriented mindset.

• Bring technical expertise in components, with deep knowledge of sustainable

standards, materials, and finishes.

• Live H&M’s values: cost-conscious, straightforward, open-minded, and

committed to improvement.

• Act as a reliable partner to a Product Designer and Material Responsible. 

• Empower suppliers through technology integration and continuous support.

• Drive initiatives in line with H&M’s guiding principles to advance the

Low impact materials roadmap.

• Shows a strong passion for analysis and a clear commitment to delivering

meaningful business impact.
