Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineering

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Product Quality Oversight and Failure Analysis:
   • Lead Outgoing Quality Assurance (OQA) and Ongoing Reliability Test (ORT) monitoring, proactively identifying quality trends and resolving anomalies to ensure high product reliability.
   • Conduct in-depth failure analysis, root cause investigation, and corrective action implementation to improve overall product quality.
2. Test Flow and Program Optimization:
   • Define, enhance, and maintain SSD product quality test flows, ensuring they align with industry best practices and company standards.
   • Develop and optimize automated quality test programs to improve efficiency and reliability in testing procedures.
3. Performance and Reliability Reporting:
   • Oversee the creation and maintenance of product performance and reliability reports, providing key stakeholders with insights for continuous improvement.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to present quality findings and drive data-driven decision-making.
4. Advanced Data Analysis and Automation:
   • Perform complex data analysis to identify product quality trends, using statistical methods and machine learning models where applicable.
   • Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline data processing, testing, and reporting workflows.
5. Technical Leadership in SSD Reliability:
   • Provide technical guidance on SSD failure mechanisms, endurance, and reliability testing methodologies.
   • Collaborate with R&D, firmware, and manufacturing teams to drive quality improvements and reliability enhancements.
6. Cross-Functional Communication and Issue Resolution:
   • Lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring efficient resolution of quality and reliability issues.
   • Act as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, and customer support teams to ensure alignment on product quality expectations.

Required:

1. Educational Background:
   • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Telecommunications, or a related field with 1-2 years working experience.
2. Technical Expertise:
   • Strong foundation in PC Architecture/ PCIE Bus or SSD architecture/NAND Flash technology, and reliability principles.
   • Proficiency in at least one programming language (C++, Python, SQL, etc.) for data analysis and test automation.
   • Solid understanding of SSD reliability testing, failure analysis techniques, and industry standards.
3. Data-Driven Problem Solving:
   • Extensive experience in statistical analysis, data mining, and automation for quality assessment.
   • Ability to interpret large datasets and drive actionable insights to enhance product reliability.
4. SSD and NAND Flash Knowledge:
   • In-depth understanding of NAND Flash wear-out mechanisms, error management, and endurance testing.
   • Familiarity with SSD controller architectures and firmware debugging for failure root cause analysis.
5. Leadership and Collaboration:
   • Proven ability to mentor junior engineers and drive technical projects to completion.
   • Strong communication skills, with experience in cross-functional collaboration across engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams.
6. English Proficiency:
   • Strong reading, writing, and verbal communication skills in English for technical documentation and global team coordination.

Preferred:

1. Hands-on experience with automation testing tools and scripting for reliability testing.
2. Proficiency in data analysis, SQL database management, and visualization tools.
3. Prior experience in SSD product qualification, hardware failure analysis, or reliability assessment.
4. Familiarity with JEDEC SSD reliability standards and industry compliance testing.

Skills:
