Job description

Overview CORT Tradeshow and Events is hiring immediately for a Furniture Repair Technicians in Las Vegas, NV! CORT Events provides furniture rental solutions to trade shows and events including festivals, weddings, corporate events, or even the Superbowl ! The Repair/Refinisher is responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing furniture and event equipment to meet company quality standards and client expectations. This role ensures inventory remains “show ready,” maintains a clean and organized work area, and supports warehouse operations by minimizing damaged inventory and controlling repair costs. The Repair/Refinisher uses a variety of hand and power tools, applies finishing techniques, and collaborates with warehouse and operations teams to achieve productivity goals and maintain safety. Pay: $18 / hour Schedule: Schedule will vary based on the needs of the business, weekends are required What We Offer Hourly pay rate; weekly pay; paid training; 40 hours /week with occasional overtime opportunities Promote from within culture Comprehensive health insurance (medical, dental, vision) available on the first of the month after your hire date 401(k) retirement plan with company match Paid vacation, sick days, and holidays Company-paid disability and life insurance Tuition reimbursement Employee discounts and perks Profit sharing plan Responsibilities • Furniture Repair & Restoration: Inspect, assess, and repair damaged furniture and event equipment using appropriate techniques and materials to restore items to show quality. • Surface Preparation & Refinishing: Prepare surfaces for painting, staining, or refinishing; apply finishes and detailing to meet company standards. • Inventory Tracking & Management: Record and track repairable items, maintain inventory of damaged furniture, and ensure timely return of repaired items to stock circulation. • Quality Control: Evaluate damaged items, determine best methods for repair, and recommend non-repairable items for removal or replacement. • Equipment & Supplies Management: Maintain and organize repair equipment, tools, and supplies; ensure efficient and economical use of resources. • Safety & Compliance: Operate safely, comply with OSHA and company safety regulations, and maintain a safe work environment, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety protocols. • Training & Collaboration: Share basic repair knowledge with warehouse team members, assist in training for minor repairs, and communicate effectively with management and other departments. • General Warehouse Support: Assist with general warehouse duties, including moving, loading, and unloading items, and supporting event logistics as needed. • Organization & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe repair area at all times. • Other Duties as Assign ed: Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support repair shop and warehouse operations. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED equivalent 1-3 years of experience with furniture repair/restoration preferred General warehouse experience preferred Forklift Operator certification preferred; on-the-job certification provided Physically able and willing to move furniture; ability to lift 50+ pounds on a regular basis Able to operate equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts, and stand-up reach trucks ( previous experience is a plus) Must be able to work with chemical-based repair and cleaning products safely and according to OSHA regulations Must pass drug screening (does not include THC) as a condition of employment.
