Job description
The Director of Interior Design will lead and oversee the Interior Design division within Omrania, a member of 10N Collective, under the Egis Group, based in Riyadh.
This role is responsible for establishing the creative vision, ensuring design excellence across all projects, driving business growth, strengthening client relationships, and delivering high-profile developments across hospitality, mixed-use, commercial, residential, cultural, and giga-project sectors throughout Saudi Arabia.
The Director will serve as both a creative leader and strategic business partner, aligning the local studio’s objectives with the broader Egis Group strategy and supporting regional market expansion initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Lead and grow the Interior Design department in Riyadh.
- Define and implement design vision, standards, and best practices.
- Contribute to regional and group-level strategy aligned with Egis.
- Build and mentor a high-performing, multicultural design team.
- Promote innovation, sustainability, and design excellence.
Business Development
- Support and lead proposal submissions, client presentations, and interviews.
- Identify and secure new business opportunities within KSA and GCC.
- Maintain strong relationships with developers, government entities, and private clients.
- Contribute to revenue growth and profitability targets.
Project Oversight
- Provide executive oversight on major interior design projects.
- Ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest design standards.
- Oversee concept development, design documentation, and site supervision phases.
- Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, international standards, and client requirements.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as primary design authority for key accounts.
- Build long-term partnerships with major developers and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with architecture, engineering, and specialist disciplines within Egis Group.
Operational & Financial Management
- Manage departmental budgets and resource planning.
- Oversee recruitment, team structure, and performance evaluations.
- Monitor financial performance of projects and ensure profitability.
- Implement quality control systems and risk management procedures.
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Professional certifications (NCIDQ, RIBA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- 20 years of progressive experience in interior design.
- Minimum 5–7 years in a senior leadership role (Associate Director / Director level).
- Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-profile projects in the Middle East (KSA experience highly preferred).
- Experience working with government entities and giga-projects is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Strong expertise in concept design, space planning, and FF&E strategy.
- Deep understanding of hospitality and mixed-use interior standards.
- Knowledge of Saudi building codes and international best practices.
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Suite, etc.).
