What We Offer Certified Sterile Processing Technician - Requires a CBSPD, CRCST, CSPDT certification to be considered Facility: Thomasville Medical Center Location : Thomasville North Carolina Department: Sterile Processing Position Type: Full Time - 40 hours per week Schedule : Day Shift, 8am-4:30p - Monday through Friday On-Call: Every 3rd weekend Department Information: Our Sterile Processing Department is a critical unit responsible for the lifecycle management of medical instruments and equipment for 5 operating rooms. Growing, dynamic unit with opportunities for professional development Supportive leadership fostering a positive work culture Work alongside a dedicated team committed to quality patient care What You'll Do Cleaning, decontaminating, inspecting, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing equipment Ensures the instruments and equipment are available Ensures all equipment is properly maintained, and ready for immediate use in order to support patient care. Experience : One year of experience in a hospital Sterile Reprocessing Department, preferred. Licensure/Certification: Sterile Reprocessing Tech certification, required. CBSPD, CRCST or CSPDT, required. Additional Skills (required): Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Demonstrates knowledge of instrumentation and sterile/aseptic technique. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions to assemble instrument sets and trays.
