Job description
Overall objectives of the role:
- Responsible for Talent Acquisition and Retention and effective Management and Development processes
- Build a high performing organization through state-of-the-art HR processes and initiatives
- Build a culture of excellence and performance orientation through change management initiatives
- Effective management of Employee Relations
- The role holder will be responsible for the development, execution and administration of HR policies and systems.
- Minimize exposure to risk, ensuring organizational efficiency and effectiveness as well as compliance with internal policies.
- Ability to analze organizational behavior as well as human behavioral characteristics and motivation.
- Manpower planning, Performance Appraisal, Training formulation.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development, plus Master degree in Management/Social Science is essential.
- Minimum of Fifteen (15) years post-qualification experience with seven (7) years leadership experience in Human Resource functions in a large conglomerate.
- Specialised training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training and preventive labour relations, preferred.
- HR experience in any of the sectors mentioned above will be preferred.
Experience
- Extensive knowledge of industrial relations, employment law and practices
- Experience in liasing with government agencies
- Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources Processes
- Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Office suite which must include Excel and demonstrated skills in Database administration and record keeping.
- Must have strong and effective interpersonal and organizational management skills
- Must have very strong oral and written communication skills
