Job description

Overview F-16 Production Superintendent (Organizational) provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience to train, advise, and assist (TAA) the Iraq Air Force (IqAF) in conducting organizational-level maintenance in support of the F-16 mission. This support includes providing instruction and guidance on maintenance tasks related to airframe, powerplant, and airframe systems; F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Unit (AMU) Aircraft Maintenance Officers, Production Superintendents and Expediters on all duties and responsibilities related to aircraft generation efforts and planning execution of maintenance and flying schedules for a fleet of 34 Block 52 F-16 aircraft. Coordinates with Intermediate Level (I-Level) Production Superintendent on support needs, priorities and plans. Supervises Contract Logistics Support (CLS) Personnel assigned to O-Level function Responsibilities Train, Advise, Assist (TAA) IqAF F-16 AMU Maintenance Officers, Productions Superintendents and Expediters on full spectrum of O-Level maintenance production and flightline operations IAW DAFI 21-101, DAFI 21-103, Technical Orders and Operating Instructions Supervise CLS Organizational Level maintenance and support personnel TAA on processes to develop and execute the flying and maintenance schedules TAA on aircraft debrief, aircraft forms reviews, determining aircraft status, reporting status and managing Estimated Time in Commission (ETIC) TAA on Minimum Essential Subsystem List to determine aircraft status and MICAPs TAA on procedures to verify weapons/load configurations are authorized TAA on managing production effort by assigning priorities to meet flying and maintenance schedules and coordinating support from other agencies TAA on synchronizing the aircraft generation effort to include all work centers assigned to the AMU and coordinating support with other agencies. TAA on procedures for ground aborts, In-Flight Emergencies, flight control impoundments, engine malfunctions and Identification of repeat/recur discrepancies TAA on planning maintenance schedules to minimize non-mission capable time TAA on developing and managing Hangar Queen and Cannibalization Programs TAA on and disaster control duties related to aircraft and support equipment movement and personnel evacuation TAA on troubleshooting and repair of complex F-16 aircraft systems discrepancies TAA on developing engineering requests for guidance on complex aircraft problems and extensions or waivers to overcome material or equipment issues Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with CLS and IqAF personnel. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience 10 years’ experience in an F-16 aircraft or aviation equipment maintenance. 3 years of supervisory or management experience years 3 years as AMU Production Superintendent 1 year performing TAA duties supporting Foreign Military Personnel in Aviation Maintenance Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelors degree preferred USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) or civilian equivalent with A&P certification preferred. Previous Certification to sign Exceptional Release (ER), Red X and In-process inspections (IPI) Other Requirements: Active security clearance.
