Job description
Overview F-16 Production Superintendent ( Back shop) provides Subject Matter Expert (SME) level experience to train, advise, and assist the Iraq Air Force (IqAF) with intermediate-level (I-Level) maintenance programs to ensure effective inspection, testing, modification, and repair of aircraft systems, subsystems, components, and associated test and support equipment. Coordinates with Organizational Level (O-Level) Flightline Production Superintendent to effectively integrate efforts into flying and maintenance schedules. Supervises Contract Logistics Support (CLS) Personnel assigned to I-level functions. Responsibilities Train, Advise and Assist (TAA) IqAF F-16 I-Level Maintenance Officers, Productions Superintendents and Section Chiefs on full spectrum of I-Level maintenance production and flightline operations IAW DAFI 21-101, DAFI 21-103, Technical Orders and Operating Instructions Supervise CLS I-Level maintenance and support personnel TAA on processes to develop and execute the flying and maintenance schedules TAA on coordinating with O-Level Production Superintendent to manage Estimated Time in Commission (ETICs) and to establish priorities TAA on monitoring mission essential equipment status; work with sections on solutions while keeping leadership informed of impacts to operations. TAA on monitoring and prioritizing I-Level efforts to support flying and maintenance schedules TAA on procedures for In-Flight Emergencies, flight control impoundments, engine malfunctions and repeat/recur discrepancies TAA on CDDAR responses to ground and in-flight emergencies and Hydrazine Response team actions to include coordinating support with outside agencies TAA on developing engineering requests for guidance on complex aircraft problems and extensions or waivers to overcome material or equipment issues Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with CLS and IqAF personnel. Supervise CLS personnel assigned to intermediate level positions Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Experience 10 years’ experience in an F-16 aircraft or aviation equipment maintenance. 3 years of supervisory or management experience years; (2) years of which must be as a Production Superintendent. 1 year performing TAA duties supporting Foreign Military Personnel in Aviation Maintenance Education / Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required. Bachelors degree preferred USAF 7-skill level (Craftsman) or civilian equivalent with A&P certification preferred. Previous Certification to sign off Red X and In-process inspections Other Requirements: Active security clearance.
