Alzheimer’s Disease, Medical Manager

This job is responsible for running Biogen Japan Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) medical activities in close collaboration with external counterparts (Eisai Medical and Marketing team for specific assets, including Aducanumab, in AD) as well as with internal counterparts (Biogen Japan Market team and Biogen Global teams). The person will be the primary Biogen Japan medical contact in AD to external teams, in alignment with Medical Director, AD & Pipeline.

• Plan and manage medical activities (pre and post-launch) in AD under close collaborations with global medical, clinical development (including current/future pipelines), and External teams. Medical activities include but not limited to insight analysis, data generation, publication, and KOL management.
• Conduct analysis of current/future medical status in Japan for aducanumab indication/treatment aligned with the global strategies, and provide medical information to Biogen Japan Market team for establishment of interactive Biogen Japan-External pre-launch and post-launch activities. He/she works similarly on other assets under development in AD areas.
• Plan and execute various medical education activities including congress activities, advisory board meetings via active communication/engagement with KMEs and the External Medical team
• Support MSL for her/his field medical activities with External counterparts.
• Medical Strategy and Tactics Planning and execution of Medical strategy and Tactics in alignment with Global strategy, and other functions at Biogen Japan, based on scientific data and unmet medical need
• Medical Information Support preparing, managing and providing medical and other relevant information in PSP and the assets. The information includes, but is not limited to, FAQs, Call center material, medical material, promotional material and medical training material.
• Medical Communication and Exchange Establish and maintain contact with Key Medical Experts (KMEs) Planning and execution of Advisory board and medical seminar (when needed) in a compliant manner
• Data generation & publication Planning and execution of congress and manuscripts publication about AD and the Biogen assets in a compliant manner
• Support development/commercialization strategies/activities Leverage (unmet) medical needs in order to support appropriate development and commercialization of the Biogen asset
• This job requires excellent communication skills including global communication in English
• Great leadership skill and agility are also essential
• Experience in AD and/or Neuroscience is not mandatory, but preferred
• A strong candidate can think and act strategically and logically in a collaborative way
• At least 4-year of related industry experience
• At least 2-year experience in medical affairs
• Experience in Neuroscience preferredBachelor’s Degree in science or technology. PhD or other higher degrees preferred
