Job description
The Internal Communications expert must understand the therapy areas and brand strategies to collaborate with internal subject matter experts and agencies. As a member of the Global Internal Communications and EU+ Corporate Affairs team this role will work collaboratively with global and regional colleagues and the different therapeutic area teams in the region. This role will be responsible for internal communications platforms, projects and events in Baar. This position reports to the Director, Corporate Communications & Internal Communications and has a doted line to the Corporate Affairs EU+ lead
Responsibilities
- Function as a business partner for the ELT (EU+ leadership team) member and their leadership team, providing strategic counsel on internal Communications as well as employee inclusion and engagement. May include attending leadership team meetings. This role will give guidance to tailor the support based on the needs of the function.
- For HR (Human Resources), support culture change communications, proactively assist in recruitment and retention communications, D&I (Diversity & Inclusion), and communication elements such as performance management requirements, etc. For Medical Affairs support the rebuilding of medical on a global level and build employee engagement through proactive updates. For Legal/IT/Finance, support leadership team communications proactively giving project updates
- For EU+ commercial ensure distribution of franchise and product updates globally.
- Responsible for internal communications platforms/channels/content, projects and CA events e.g. townhalls. This person has to support functions to ensure we have right level of quality and also right amount of events, types of events etc.
- Minimum 5 years in communications including agency or corporate experience
- Experience working with communication teams and across functions
- Excellent strategic thinking and tactical execution skills

The Associate Director, Internal Communications EU+ (Europe and Canada) is responsible for supporting SVP, EU+ and ELT leaders of functions and their leadership teams with internal communications to the employees within that function in the EU+ region. This role functions as a business partner participating in leadership team discussions building strategies for implementation which proactively shares information to employees and promotes employee engagement and inclusion.
