Job description
Job Summary
Provide timely and high-quality basic accounting support for corporate clients under direct supervision.
Concentrate on delivering consistent results by focusing on basic bookkeeping processes and low-complexity tasks.
Assist in preparing standard financial reports following established procedures.
Core Responsibilities
- Execute basic accounting tasks and reconciliations under guidance
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of assigned tasks following detailed checklists
- Learn client requirements and fundamental accounting practices
- Follow prescribed procedures and statutory requirements
- Participate in training to develop foundational skills
- Support team members with routine accounting activities
Tasks
- Monitor and manage assigned mailboxes
- Perform periodic bookkeeping and reconciliations
- Gather and maintain source documents and records
- Prepare working schedules and working papers
- Assist with audit queries
- Prepare and compile data for tax/VAT filings
- Support preparation of periodic and annual accounts
- Perform self-review of all prepared deliverables
- Provide support to team members as required
- Address simple accounting queries independently
- Escalate questions and issues to senior team members
- Assist in regulatory reporting activities
- Address review comments from reviewers/clusters promptly
- Complete and sign off required checklists
- Perform other related duties as assigned for role and business needs.
Skills
Primary Skills: Corporate Accounting, Book keeping, financial statements, Tax, GL reconciliation, MANCO accounts; AP, AR, RTR; intercompany accounting, intercompany ledger, intercompany recons, management company accounting,
Must have Knowledge on US GAAP; must have worked on accounting tools (preferably Netsuite, Sage, Quickbook).
Qualifications:
- MBA and semi qualified CA/CMA
