Overview https://careers.benevis.com https://www.spencerdentalgroup.com/careers Employer: Tremont Road Dental Super, PC dba Spencer Dental & Braces Job Title: Associate Dentist (Multiple Positions) Job Location: 4072 Victory Boulevard, Portsmouth, VA 23701 Job Duties: Performing exams and evaluating X-rays to determine a patient’s health; developing treatment plans to deal with any dental health issues; preparing patients for treatment (e.g. by applying oral sedation or anesthesia); performing dental cleanings and removing tooth plaque; identifying tooth decay filling cavities, performing root canals, and applying crowns; administering and/or prescribing medications to decrease pain and improve patient health; providing cosmetic services like teeth whitening, bonding and veneers to enhance the appearance of teeth; interacting with patients and instructing them on proper oral care; measuring and fitting dental appliances; examining patients’ medical records and maintaining updated accurate records. Rare local travel to other worksites within the same MSA may be required. Requirements: The position of Associate Dentist requires a Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry or Doctor of Dental Surgery and a valid dentist license in the state of Virginia. Specific Skills or Other Requirements: Additionally, the applicant must have: Experience with diagnosing decay by reading radiographs. Experience using dental instruments to perform dentistry on patients. Experience performing the following dental procedures: pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, & extractions. Experience with restorations, root canals, removable/fixed dental appliances. Experience using behavior management techniques to perform dentistry on adolescent patients. Rate of Pay: $108,326/year to $234,000.00/year
