Assistant Manager -Commercial Finance- South Asia
Location: Karachi, Pakistan
About the position
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Assistant Manager – Commercial Finance to support commercial performance and strategic decision-making across markets. This role sits at the heart of the business, partnering with cross-functional teams to drive financial insights, optimise trade investments, and support profitable growth. Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance- South Asia, you will be part of a high-performing, collaborative finance team, strong brands, and a purpose-led culture that encourages development and performance.
What you will do
Commercial Finance & Performance Management
- Manage month-end close activities including trade spend reviews, accruals, and journal preparation
- Prepare discount proposals and support commercial decision-making and provide strategic insights and financial recommendations to leadership teams
- Perform regular reconciliations of trade and marketing investments, analysing ROI by customer and channel and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
Planning, Forecasting & Strategy
- Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP), demand planning and annual planning cycles /processes
- Develop and maintain P&L forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities, including financial modelling and system uploads.
Business Partnering & Analytics
- Collaborate with commercial, marketing, and supply chain teams to drive performance
- Build business cases for innovations, renovations, and new product development.
So, what does it take to be successful in this role?
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Commerce
- Professional qualification (e.g., CA, CIMA, ACCA, CPA, MBA) preferred
- 2–3 years’ experience in commercial finance or a similar role in a fast-paced, matrix organisation
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills, including Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint
- Experience with SAP is advantageous
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with high attention to detail and a proactive, resilient mindset.
