Game Programmer Internship (part-time & hybrid)

General Information

• Paid internship: €485 gross (approx. €297 net)
• Work Model: Hybrid (2 days office, 3 days work from home)
• Schedule: Part-time, 4 hours/day
• Internship Duration: 3 months
• Estimated Start Date: July

Role Purpose

Are you enthusiastic about the gaming industry, knowledgeable in Unreal Engine 5, and familiar with C++? Have you always wanted to turn your code into games? This is your chance to be part of a dynamic environment, collaborating with a team mentored by top seniors in the studio. 

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement gameplay features using Unreal Engine blueprints and C++
• Collaborate with designers and other colleagues to integrate game mechanics and features
• Participate in regular team meetings to discuss progress and brainstorm ideas
• Learn how to form an integrated team with your fellow interns, working on turning ideas into feature prototypes

What You Will Learn

• Efficient communication within the same department, as well as with different departments
• Creating safe, maintainable, well documented code
• Estimate own work based on design documents
• Analyzing large codebases
• Debugging and optimizing Unreal blueprints
• Presenting work for review meetings
• A modern mix of professional workflows suitable for large, distributed projects and methodologies tailored to small cells working in quick iterations

Candidate Profile – Must Have

• Working knowledge of Unreal Engine 5
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine blueprints and C++ programming
• Basic debugging and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Good English communication skills (spoken and written)

Required Knowledge / Tools

• Unreal Engine
• Microsoft Visual Studio (Professional or Community) or at least VS Code
• Git
