Role Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic Data/BI Analyst to join the NPEX project. In this senior-level individual contributor role, you will be responsible for the NPEX BI Dashboards, ensuring they deliver high-impact insights to the business. They will balance technical expertise in MicroStrategy with deep data analysis to solve complex business problems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your Responsibilities
- Advanced Dashboarding: Build and maintain insightful dashboards and in-depth reports tailored to various audiences, from product teams to top management.
- MicroStrategy Specialist: Lead the design of wireframes and dashboards using MicroStrategy to address relevant business problems.
- Data Storytelling: Develop compelling data narratives and visualizations that translate complex data sets into actionable insights to influence strategic decision-making.
- Strategic Analysis: Deep dive into pricing data to identify new use cases, uncover strategic opportunities, and pinpoint areas for analytical improvement.
- Technical Specifications: Translate complex business needs into clear technical specifications for reporting and tracking.
- Data Quality & Governance: Champion data quality by analyzing discrepancies and providing recommendations for resolution to ensure the trustworthiness of reporting.
- Collaboration: Partner closely with team leads and stakeholders on key initiatives, ensuring data analysis supports and informs product strategy.
- Data Literacy: Promote data literacy and empower product teams to use data effectively in their daily work.
Technical Competencies
- BI & Visualization: Proven expertise in MicroStrategy for dashboard design and project delivery. Experience with Looker Studio, PowerBI, or Tableau is a plus.
- SQL & Databases: Advanced SQL skills with extensive experience querying large, complex datasets in Google BigQuery.
- Cloud Ecosystem: Solid understanding of the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem, focusing on data consumption and analysis.
- Programming: Proficient in Python for conducting ad-hoc and exploratory data analyses, primarily using Jupyter notebooks.
- Spreadsheets: Hands-on experience in Microsoft Excel to create tables with formulas, pivots, charts, and Macros.
- ETL: Experience in basic ETL processes to handle ad-hoc data analysis.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Approximately 3-6 years of experience as a BI Analyst, BI Developer, or in a similar data-centric role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and conceptual skills with a talent for solving complex data problems.
- Mindset: A proactive, self-aware, and positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Agility: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced agile environment and gain cross-domain expertise.
