Job description

We are in search of a Qualified Yoruba Language Teacher with more than 3 years of experience teaching students between the ages of 1 and 12 years.

  • Bachelor's Degree: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Yoruba or a related field such as Linguistics, Education, or African Languages
  • Teacher Training: A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) or a Bachelor's Degree in Education (B.Ed) with a specialization in Yoruba.
  • NYSC Certificate: Completion of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) program is mandatory or the candidate must present an exemption letter.
  • Teaching Certification:  The candidate must have obtained a teaching certificate from the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).
  • Proficiency in Yoruba:  The Candidate must demonstrate excellent knowledge and speaking skills in Yoruba language and culture.
  • Pedagogical Skills: The Candidate must possess effective teaching and communication skills to convey Yoruba language and culture to students.
  • Knowledge of Curriculum: Familiarity with the Nigerian educational curriculum and the ability to develop lesson plans and teaching materials.
  • Continuous Professional Development: The candidate must be able to engage in ongoing professional development and training to stay updated on best practices in teaching Yoruba language and culture.
