Job description
Our client is a leading international supplier to the auto industry. With its products for combustion engines and their peripherals as well as solutions for electric vehicles, they address all crucial issues related to powertrain and air conditioning technology.
Responsibilities Include
Create and maintain design validations and product verification plans. Approve and sign-off on product drawings and specifications. Assist in the determination of tooling requirements. Provide direction to designers for GD&T and dimensional stack-ups. Coordinate creation of concept drawings for preliminary evaluation and presentations, using Designer support per customer/Supplier and manufacturing requirements. Assure accurate completion of 3D Models and 2D Drawings and assembly drawings as per current standards. Liaise with customers to ensure expectations are met with respect to performance and packaging requirements. Provide direction in the use of development and analytical tools such as CAE, CFD, FEA modeling, etc. Willingness and ability to travel as necessary 25%, international travel. Working knowledge of QS9000, ISO14001 and TS16949 standards.
Requirements
Mechanical Engineering Degree 2+ years of experience - background in product design and development. Cylinder Head Covers Working knowledge and experience in automotive engine and transmission a plus. Experience with DFA, DFM, FMEA, & DOE processes.
