As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will contribute to the development of mechanical components used in rotating electrical machinery. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, support engineering initiatives, and ensure that designs meet performance, quality, and reliability expectations. You will play an important role in turning functional requirements into practical, manufacturable solutions that support operational and customer needs.

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Producing detailed 3D models and engineering drawings for mechanical components.
  • Supporting product documentation, specifications, and design packages.
  • Coordinating with internal teams to resolve technical and manufacturing challenges.
  • Reviewing designs for accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance with standards.
  • Participating in design reviews and ensuring timely delivery of engineering outputs.
  • Maintaining data, records, and design information according to defined procedures.
  • Assisting in supplier‑related technical discussions where required.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement and engineering development activities.

To be successful in this role you will

  • Bring experience in mechanical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Have strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (preferably Autodesk Inventor).
  • Demonstrate capability in interpreting design requirements and engineering standards.
  • Possess excellent communication, teamwork, and documentation skills.
  • Be able to manage priorities, work to schedules, and maintain high accuracy.
  • Show sound problem‑solving skills and a proactive approach to technical issues.
  • Be comfortable working across functions including engineering, operations, and procurement.
  • Maintain a focus on quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
