Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson announced plans to separate our Orthopaedics business to establish a standalone orthopaedics company, operating as DePuy Synthes. The process of the planned separation is anticipated to be completed within 18 to 24 months, subject to legal requirements, including consultation with works councils and other employee representative bodies, as may be required, regulatory approvals and other customary conditions and approvals. Should you accept this position, it is anticipated that, following conclusion of the transaction, you would be an employee of DePuy Synthes and your employment would be governed by DePuy Synthes employment processes, programs, policies, and benefit plans. In that case, details of any planned changes would be provided to you by DePuy Synthes at an appropriate time and subject to any necessary consultation processes.​

DePuy Synthes is recruiting for a Business Management Lead, located in Spain.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Partner with the Leadership Team to define, prioritize, and deploy growth strategies and initiatives aligned with Spain business ambitions. 
  • Identify and assess new growth opportunities including new business models, segments, portfolio initiatives, and operating model evolution. 
  • Conduct complex quantitative and qualitative market, and internal business analyses to inform priority setting and decision making. Develop strategic and financial business cases to support decision-making and investment prioritization. 
  • Drive alignment and manage cross functional projects across Commercial, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and other functions.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional transformation initiatives with clear objectives, milestones, and impact tracking. 
  • Lead and orchestrate processes such as business performance reviews, leader engagement planning, and leadership agenda setting.
  • Drive initiatives to enhance business operations effectiveness and efficiency. 
  • Act as program lead for selected high-priority strategic initiatives, monitoring execution, risks, and outcomes. 
  • Support change management by translating strategy into concrete actions, capabilities, and ways of working. 

Required Qualifications & Experience 

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, STEM, or Medicine; MBA or postgraduate degree is a plus. 
  • Strong experience in strategy, business development, transformation, or commercial excellence roles, ideally in MedTech, healthcare, or complex commercial environments. 
  • Preferably 3+ years of progressive experience in strategy consulting, with exposure to healthcare or MedTech sectors.
  • Proven ability to drive growth at scale, from strategy definition through disciplined execution. 
  • Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills combined with pragmatic execution focus.
  • Proven ability to independently conduct and synthesize quantitative and qualitative analyses into actionable insights. 
  • Excellent project management, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives without direct hierarchical authority. 
  • High level of credibility, communication skills, and ability to influence senior stakeholders. 
  • Experience developing and presenting executive-level analyses, recommendations, and business cases. 
  • Change leadership mindset with the ability to translate vision into operational reality. 
  • Fluency in Spanish and English.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is:

€61,800.00 - €106,260.00
