Position Summary Where You’ll Work (and Why You’ll Love It!) Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute offers comprehensive CARF-accredited inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation programs for adults, adolescents and children, with specialty programs in stroke, spinal cord and brain injury rehabilitation. A dedicated 54-bed rehabilitation hospital provides post-acute care for patients requiring medical and intensive rehabilitative therapies covering a full range of orthopedic and neurological conditions. The facility has all-private rooms, three therapy gyms outfitted with the latest technology (e.g., weight-assisted treadmill, robotics for training in arm/hand coordination and walking, and communication-assistance technology), a simulated apartment, and an expansive outdoor space for additional therapeutic activity. Outpatient centers feature interdisciplinary teams working together to help each patient meet their individual rehabilitation goals and achieve the highest possible level of independence. A Day in YOUR Life as a Registered Dietitian Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute (OHARI) is seeking a Part‑Time Registered Dietitian to support inpatient rehabilitation services. This role provides evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy to patients as part of a collaborative Clinical Nutrition team, with a strong focus on continuity of care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient‑centered outcomes. This position supports coverage at OHARI with occasional weekend coverage at Health Central Hospital, helping ensure consistent nutritional care across settings. . Location: Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute 1300 Hempel Ave, Ocoee, FL Schedule Wednesday: Half day Thursday & Friday: 9:00 AM start Weekend Coverage: Approximately 1 weekend per month or every 6–7 weeks Weekend shifts rotate among team members Coverage Locations (Weekend Rotation): Orlando Health Advanced Rehabilitation Institute (OHARI) Health Central Hospital Work Environment: On‑site (no remote option) Floating: Yes, between OHARI and Health Central Hospital on assigned weekend days Responsibilities Develop, implement, and document individualized nutrition care plans based on patient assessments, disease states, and nutritional needs Provide patient and family nutrition counseling, considering cultural, religious, and personal preferences Assess nutritional requirements across the lifespan using evidence‑based medical nutrition therapy Write nutrition‑related orders in accordance with Orlando Health policies Document dietary history, assessments, and care plans in the electronic medical record Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation teams Support continuity of care for short‑ and long‑term rehabilitation patients Adhere to all Orlando Health policies, procedures, and standards of professional practice Maintain regular, punctual attendance in accordance with Orlando Health guidelines Required Qualifications Education/Training Bachelor’s degree from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university Licensure/Certification Completion of coursework accredited or approved by the Commission on Accreditation of Dietetics Education (CADE) of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) Registered Dietitian (RD) credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) Active Florida Dietitian/Nutritionist license (or eligibility to maintain licensure) Clinical nutrition or inpatient experience preferred but not required Experience No prior experience required Clinical nutrition or inpatient experience preferred but not required Benefits Beyond the Expected Orlando Health is committed to providing you with benefits that go beyond the expected, with career-growing FREE education programs and well-being services to support you and your family through every stage of life.
