Job Post Information* : External Company URL http://www.johannafoods.com/ Type Full-Time Ensures preparation and maintenance of all employee personnel and payroll files assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality, including all job-related documentation, offer letters, employment applications, employee information sheets, benefit enrollment forms, W-4s, direct deposit forms and status change forms. Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, pay rates, bonus compensation, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductions. Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to compensation, pay rates and benefits. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage and hour laws and best practices. Oversee the auditing of employee time records in the Time and Attendance System, including exception time to ensure employees are accurately compensated for their hours worked. Input, review and format all new employee HR data into the HRIS, updating and maintaining employee records as needed. Conduct audits of HR data contained in the HRIS to preserve its integrity and accuracy. Monitor the HRIS system performance and identify processes that need improvement. Assist with HRIS system maintenance during system upgrades, clearly communicating any known downtime or outages to all end-users. Utilizing the HRIS, generate and distribute required ad-hoc, bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly report Other duties as assigned. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred but not required Minimum 5 years’ experience with extensive knowledge of the payroll function(s) including preparation, balancing, internal control and payroll taxes Experience utilizing electronic payroll, time keeping and HRIS systems required Experience using Ceridian/Dayforce preferred Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to payroll Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including advanced Excel skills Strong technical, troubleshooting, problem-solving skills Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
