The Opportunity
We’re continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our team.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their BP journey who’s ready to step into a true partnering role, working closely with your client groups to support performance, engagement and capability across their teams.
You’ll sit at the intersection of day-to-day people support and longer-term improvement. That means helping leaders navigate real people challenges, while also using data and insights to identify trends, shape plans and lift capability over time.
You won’t be doing this alone. You’ll be supported by an experienced People & Culture team and have the space to learn, build confidence and grow into the role.
What you’ll do
- Partner with leaders to provide practical, balanced advice on people matters across the employee lifecycle
- Support the day-to-day management of employee relations, performance conversations and team dynamics
- Use engagement data (Peakon) to identify themes, build insights and work with leaders on meaningful action plans
- Build capability across your client groups, particularly in leadership and people management
- Support workforce planning, including team structures, role clarity and capability gaps
- Help deliver core people processes such as performance reviews, engagement initiatives and development programs
- Contribute to a safe and compliant workplace, including alignment with WHS and employment legislation
- Work closely with the broader P&C team on projects and continuous improvement initiatives
About you
You’re someone who’s already built a solid generalist foundation and is ready to take the next step into a Business Partner role.
You’re curious, pragmatic and people-focused. You’re comfortable getting into the detail when needed, but you’re also starting to think more broadly about patterns, trends and how to create better outcomes for teams over time.
You don’t need to have all the answers, but you’re someone leaders trust to listen, make sense of situations, and work towards the right solution.
You’ll bring
- Experience in a generalist HR/P&C role, with exposure to business partnering (around 12 months as a BP or similar)
- A strong understanding of employment relations and relevant legislation (FWA, Modern Awards, WHS)
- The ability to build relationships and credibility across different levels of the business
- A practical, solutions-focused approach to people challenges
- Confidence using data and insights to inform conversations and decisions
- Experience working in a fast-paced or growing organisation
- Strong judgement, emotional intelligence and the ability to “read the room”
- A collaborative, positive mindset aligned to our values — curious, genuine, optimistic and solutions-focused
