Job description

Provide Section 8 and tenancy administration support to property management at LLC and Trust developments:

  • Monitor TSAP selections.
  • Assist with the processing of Section 8 rentals to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
  • Troubleshoot cases to resolve issues: e.g., IT glitches, migration errors, head of household composition changes, etc.
  • Monitor compliance with annual recertification submissions, legal referrals and other tenancy administration and Section 8 landlord functions; work with development staff and residents to promote compliance and avoid loss of subsidy.
  • Float between assigned developments and Central Office; build relationships with development teams
  • Proactively monitor upcoming termination of subsidy cases and work with resident to resolve and/or coordinate processing terminated subsidies for administrative actions.
  • Deploy as a supplemental property resource for discrete projects when assigned (special circumstances only).

HOUSING ASSISTANT (HA) - 80201

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college; or

An associate degree or sixty semester credits from an accredited college and one year of satisfactory full-time experience in housing management at a development or developments containing at least 150 apartments, performing any one or a combination of the following duties: interviewing applicants; determining eligibility; gathering and evaluating information to resolve complaints; collecting rents; and/or resolving tenant-related problems; or

A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent, and three years of satisfactory full-time experience as described in โ€œ1โ€ above; or

A satisfactory equivalent combination of education and experience as described in "1" or "2" above. Undergraduate college credit may be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college for one year of satisfactory full-time experience. However, all candidates must have a four-year high school diploma, or its educational equivalent.
