Job description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Resident Engineer to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing large-scale construction projects, ensuring compliance with Saudi building regulations, and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency. - Lead and supervise the on-site engineering team, ensuring efficient project execution, adherence to timelines, and alignment with organizational goals
- Conduct regular inspections of workmanship, materials, and construction methodologies to maintain quality standards and compliance with project specifications and Saudi building codes
- Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, facilitate communication, and ensure project success
- Review, analyze, and approve shop drawings, material submittals, change orders, and technical documentation with meticulous attention to detail
- Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources effectively, implementing innovative solutions to overcome challenges and optimize project performance
- Ensure strict compliance with Saudi Arabia building codes, safety regulations, environmental standards, and local construction practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline project processes, enhance overall performance, and foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Implement and oversee sustainable construction practices and green building certification processes aligned with organizational standards
- Utilize Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and advanced project management tools to improve project visualization, coordination, and operational efficiency
- Mentor, develop, and support junior engineers and site staff, fostering professional growth and knowledge sharing within the team
- Prepare comprehensive technical reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders, clients, and management with clarity and precision
- Identify and implement innovative engineering solutions that enhance project delivery while maintaining cost-effectiveness and quality standards
**Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related engineering discipline
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in building engineering and large-scale construction project management
- Proven track record of successfully overseeing complex building projects in the Middle East region, with preference for Saudi Arabia experience
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabia building codes, construction standards, regulations, and best practices
- Strong understanding of building development, construction methodologies, quality control processes, and safety management
- Advanced project management skills, including expertise in budget management, schedule optimization, and resource allocation
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities with a keen eye for detail and quality assurance
- Outstanding leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams
- Strong technical report writing, communication, and presentation abilities
- Proficiency with Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology and project management software
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Willingness to work on-site and travel as required for project needs and site inspections
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Professional Engineering (PE) license or equivalent certification in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East
- Experience with LEED certification processes and sustainable construction practices
- Familiarity with Saudi Vision 2030 initiatives and modern construction standards
- Knowledge of local contractor relationships and Saudi Arabia construction market dynamics
- Experience implementing innovative construction technologies and methodologies
- Certification in project management (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- Multilingual capabilities, particularly Arabic language proficiency
