Position Summary PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT Orlando Health Jewett Orthopedics Institute (OHJOI) OHJOI IP REHAB SVS Pool (Per Diem) (2 Saturdays a month, potential for weekdays if census increases or staff take PTO) Position Summary The Physical Therapist Assistant is responsible for providing Physical Therapy treatment under the direction of a licensed Physical Therapist. Education/Training Associate degree or graduate from an accredited two-year college program in Physical Therapist Assistant. Licensure/Certification Current license in the State of Florida as Physical Therapist Assistant. Maintains current BLS/HealthCare Provider certification. Essential Functions • Demonstrates ability to appropriately treat patients according to professional standards of practice. • Interpersonal communication skills include the ability to coordinate patient care with other team members, and counsel patients and their families. • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures.
