ABOUT NABLA
We are a team of entrepreneurs, clinicians and engineers committed to bringing back joy to the practice of medicine.
Together with a community of clinician innovators, we’ve harnessed the best of machine learning science to develop Nabla: the leading AI assistant that’s restoring the human connection at the heart of healthcare. By streamlining clinical documentation, Nabla is helping clinicians focus on what matters most - patient care. Today, over 100,000+ clinicians across 130+ healthcare organizations trust Nabla to support how they deliver care every day.
We’re at the start of an ambitious journey: Ambient listening, dictation, coding, and command capabilities are all converging into a proactive assistant that intuitively streamlines clinical and financial workflows.
Backed by a recent $70M Series C, we’re hiring to build the next generation of clinical AI and improve the lives of clinicians and patients everywhere.
This is a great time to join us!
FINANCE AT NABLA
Finance at Nabla is a foundational, high-impact function built to support a company growing fast. As our first dedicated procurement hire, you'll work across finance, legal, engineering, and operations to build a world-class vendor management, procurement cycle and cost-control practice from the ground up.
YOUR TEAM
At Nabla, cross-functional collaboration is how we get things done. You'll report directly to the CFO and act as the primary procurement partner to every team in the company — Engineering, Product, Marketing, HR, and Operations. You'll work closely with Legal on commercial contracts and with Finance on spend analysis and budget management. You'll have a high level of ownership from day one, with the freedom to shape the function in a way that scales with us.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Own the end-to-end vendor lifecycle: sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, contracting, and ongoing performance reviews
- Maintain a centralized vendor register and track contract renewal dates, SLAs, and spend obligations
- Partner with Legal and Finance to review and negotiate commercial terms, including NDAs, MSAs, and SOWs
- Analyse company-wide spend data to identify consolidation and optimization opportunities, pricing anomalies, and savings potential
- Lead contract negotiation for significant purchases across software, infrastructure, services, and facilities
- Along with the Engineering team, monitor the computing spend and evaluate optimization options to improve gross margin
- Design and implement scalable procurement processes, including purchase requisition workflows and approval matrices
- Evaluate and put into place procurement tooling to automate and streamline purchasing
- Support the finance team with accruals, budget vs. actuals analysis, and vendor invoice reconciliation
- Document procurement policies and maintain an up-to-date procurement handbook
THE IMPACT
- Nabla processes 10 billion tokens/month with LLMs — every vendor and infrastructure contract you manage directly underpins that scale
- Hundreds of thousands of clinical notes are generated and synced with EHRs each week; the tools and services you procure power that reliability
- As our first procurement hire, you'll establish the policies and systems that the entire company runs on
YOUR DNA
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management, ideally at a SaaS or technology company
- Proven track record of negotiating software and services contracts, with demonstrated cost savings outcomes
- Experience standing up or significantly improving a procurement function in a scaling environment
- Strong analytical skills — comfortable working in spreadsheets and interpreting spend data
- High degree of ownership, self-direction, and comfort with ambiguity
- Finance and accounting knowledge and experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English; able to influence without authority across teams
- Bonus: knowledge of software licensing models, cloud infrastructure pricing, and professional services agreements
- Bonus: CPM, CPSM, or equivalent procurement certification
LIFE AT NABLA
When you become a part of our company, you join a team of excellence-driven, curious, and genuinely kind individuals. Together, we're committed to making clinicians' lives easier and improving healthcare experiences for everyone. We believe in a world where clinicians can focus on what they were trained to do - caring for their patients, and where no patient feels their visit was rushed.
We come to work excited to leverage AI to do more for clinicians. We’re obsessed with our users’ satisfaction and we actively seek out opportunities to engage one-on-one with clinicians to understand how Nabla can better help. We consistently look for ways to improve and do not shy away from doing the work to excel. Whether it’s a feature our users asked for, or a new article for our blog, we prioritize collaboration to deliver exceptional outcomes.
We love having fun as much as we love work. Our #nablabla channel is as active as our #feature-show-off channel, we exercise during the work day at least 3 times a week (yoga, running, pilates, or HIIT, your choice!), enjoy regular off-sites to gather the team, and travel to see each other in places like NY, Paris, San Francisco, and many other vibrant cities. Oh, and we’re constantly snacking on chocolate or nuts!
If this sounds like an environment you’ll thrive in, we look forward to reading your application!
