We are seeking a dedicated and passionate High School Chemistry Teacher to join our educational institution in Kraków, Poland. In this role, you will inspire and educate high school students in chemistry, fostering a deep understanding of scientific principles while cultivating critical thinking and analytical skills. You will create a dynamic, inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and academic excellence through innovative teaching methods and hands-on laboratory experiences.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive chemistry lessons aligned with curriculum standards and learning objectives for high school students
- Design and conduct safe, engaging laboratory experiments that reinforce theoretical concepts and promote practical scientific skills
- Assess student learning through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth
- Maintain a well-organized, safe laboratory environment by implementing and enforcing strict safety protocols and procedures
- Prepare detailed lesson plans, instructional materials, and educational resources that accommodate diverse learning styles and student needs
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive, respectful learning community that promotes student participation and collaboration
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, challenges, and achievements
- Stay current with developments in chemistry education and incorporate evidence-based teaching practices into instruction
- Participate in professional development opportunities and contribute to school initiatives and committees as needed
- Supervise and mentor students in extracurricular activities, clubs, or competitions related to chemistry or science when applicable
- Demonstrated expertise in chemistry subject matter and high school chemistry curriculum standards
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and deliver engaging chemistry lessons and laboratory activities
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to maintain a positive, productive learning environment
- Proficiency in student assessment techniques and data-driven instructional practices
- Comprehensive knowledge of laboratory safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple responsibilities
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
- Experience with educational technology and digital learning tools (preferred)
- Prior teaching experience in chemistry or related sciences (preferred)
- Experience developing curriculum materials or leading extracurricular science programs (preferred)
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying informed about advances in science education
