Position Location This position is located onsite in our Cleveland, Ohio office. Job Overview The Human Resources Manager ensures all employee/personnel policies and procedures align with Job Corps and Corporate guidelines, comply with Federal, State, and local regulations. This hands-on HR Manager role includes oversight of wage and hour compliance, training administration, employee relations, recruitment, performance and conduct management, return-to-work programs, FMLA, and workers’ compensation. Responsibilities Essential Job Duties: Provide Center Director and supervisory staff with HR support and guidance through collaboration with leadership to shape and strengthen the organizational culture in alignment with core values and mission while being sensitive to local needs and compliance. Partner with corporate HR team in delivering HR solutions to include Performance Management, Talent Management and Development, Training, Health & Welfare Benefits, and audit compliance. Lead the full recruitment process with local leadership by prioritizing needs, leveraging recruitment tools, refining job requirements and managing the recruitment flow through hire, onboarding, and orientation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while maintaining and local policies in coordination with corporate policies. Assist supervisors with corrective action/performance improvement plan reviews Conduct investigations and manage employee relations issues while guiding managers with professionalism and consistency. Ensures compliance with SCA wage and benefit provisions. Coordinate DOL audits, maintain personnel files, and ensure compliance readiness for inspections or reporting requirements. Job Requirements Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in business, Human Resource management, Organization Development, or related field. An additional four years of human resources experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in Human Resources. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues, facilitate effective decision-making, and provide clear and concise information to various stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office suite (word, excel, etc.) with solid experience working with a HRIS platform and other technology.
