About This Opportunity
Are you a qualified tradesperson looking for more than just another day on the tools?
At UQ, we’re looking for experienced trade professionals who want to take the next step in their career while still staying connected to the technical side of facilities and maintenance work.
As a Client Facility Coordinator (Trades), you will continue to utilise your hands-on trade expertise while stepping into a role that combines technical problem solving, contractor coordination, client engagement and minor project oversight across one of Australia’s largest and most diverse campus environments.
This is not your typical trade role. You’ll work across a single campus location with consistent hours, supportive leadership and the opportunity to expand your skillset into facilities coordination and infrastructure operations while still remaining closely connected to practical maintenance delivery.
Your trade background is the most important qualification. Experience across broader building services, contractor coordination or project work is highly regarded, however support and development will be provided to help you grow.
Key responsibilities will include:
Delivering and coordinating maintenance, repairs and minor works across campus facilities and infrastructure.
Acting as a key point of contact for stakeholders and coordinating maintenance requests across your precinct.
Supervising contractors and ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to agreed standards.
Providing technical trade advice and assisting with fault finding and operational problem solving.
Monitoring and inspecting building assets and infrastructure systems while maintaining accurate records.
Supporting continuous improvement and contributing to a safe, collaborative and customer-focused facilities environment.
