Focus of the role
As Demand Planning Manager, you will lead the end-to-end demand planning capability within a fast-paced, data driven supply chain. Sitting at the centre of commercial, supply, and operations, this role is critical to ensuring the right products are available, at the right time, in the right place without over-investing in inventory.
You’ll lead a high-performing team and translate complex data signals into clear, actionable demand plans that enable confident business decisions.
This role will lead the evolution of demand planning from a traditional forecasting function to a data-driven, AI-enabled capability that drives strategic decision-making across the business.

What You’ll Do
1. Demand Forecasting & Planning
- Lead and continuously improve demand forecasts across product portfolios using data-driven, statistical and AI-assisted planning methods.
- Own the end-to-end planning cycle by combining sales, promotions and market signals into aligned forecasts, scenarios and actions.
2. Strategic Demand Planning
- Translate business strategy, growth targets and commercial priorities into practical demand plans that support business performance.
- Provide forward-looking scenarios and insights to guide investment, product, lifecycle and leadership decisions.
3. AI-Driven Forecasting & Advanced Analytics
- Use advanced analytics, machine learning and AI tools to improve forecast accuracy, responsiveness and planning effectiveness.
- Set AI priorities, drive automation opportunities and refine forecasting models using new data and demand signals.
4. S&OP / Integrated Business Planning Leadership
- Lead S&OP and integrated business planning processes to align demand, supply and financial plans across the business.
- Partner across teams and clearly communicate demand assumptions, risks and opportunities to support operational planning.
5. Inventory, Service & Financial Outcomes
- Work closely with supply planning to balance product availability, customer service, inventory investment and cost outcomes.
- Reduce excess stock, obsolescence and stockouts while aligning demand plans with revenue, margin and working capital goals.
6. Data, Insights & Performance Management
- Analyse performance trends, demand drivers and market changes to generate clear, actionable insights for the business.
- Own key planning metrics and develop dashboards that improve transparency, visibility and continuous performance improvement.
7. Process Transformation & Capability Uplift
- Design and improve demand planning processes, governance and ways of working to support best-practice execution.
- Drive digital transformation, automation and team capability uplift across analytics, systems and AI-enabled planning tools.
8. Stakeholder Engagement & Influence
- Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-led storytelling and strong communication of priorities and trade-offs.
- Build trusted cross-functional partnerships and provide advice on demand-related decisions across commercial and operational teams.
9. Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop a high-performing demand planning team with strong accountability and continuous improvement.
- Build future-ready capability in analytics, automation, systems and AI adoption to strengthen team performance.
10. Risk Management & Scenario Planning
- Proactively identify demand volatility, supply risks and market changes, with scenarios and contingency plans to reduce disruption.
- Support agile decision-making through real-time insights, rapid reforecasting and clear risk-based planning actions.
About you
To be successful in the role, you must have:
Essential:
- Proven supply chain leadership experience with a strong record of operational excellence and strategic impact.
- Proven track record leading high-performing demand planning teams, with the ability to inspire, coach, and elevate capability
- Strong proficiency in supply chain planning tools, ideally SAP IBP, with the ability to optimize processes and deliver data-driven results.
- Strong leadership presence, with the confidence to influence senior stakeholders and drive alignment across the business
- Confident and commercially astute, with the ability to challenge the status quo and influence decisions with credibility
- Experienced in operating with a high degree of autonomy, taking ownership of outcomes in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, building strong partnerships across commercial, supply, and operations teams
- Passion for transformation and change, with proven experience driving innovation, process improvement, and capability uplift
