Job description
About this role
Sigma is changing how companies work with data. We're building the product, and we need to build the team that builds the product. That's where you come in. As a Technical Recruiter on our Talent team, you'll own the full recruiting lifecycle for engineering roles, partnering directly with engineering leaders to hire the people who will shape Sigma's next chapter. This isn't a ticket-closing role. You'll help define who we hire and how we hire, and you'll have the tools, access, and autonomy to do it well. If you're energized by building something from scratch, love recruiting for high-bar roles, and want to see the direct impact of your work, this is the role for you.
What you'll do
- Build and own the candidate pipeline for engineering roles, from initial sourcing through offer
- Develop creative sourcing strategies to reach engineers who aren't applying to job boards
- Partner with engineering leadership to sharpen our targeting, increase referrals, and move fast on top candidates
- Use market research to keep our approach current and our messaging sharp
- Work closely with hiring managers to set expectations, move pipelines, and hit hiring goals as we scale
- Keep our data clean in Greenhouse so we can see what's working and move faster
What you bring
- 3+ years of technical recruiting experience in the software industry
- A track record of hiring strong engineers at companies with a high bar
- Experience finding and engaging candidates who aren't looking, and getting them interested
- The ability to partner with engineering leaders as a peer, not just a scheduler
- Clear communication: you give candidates honest timelines and hiring managers accurate pipeline data
- Experience with LinkedIn Recruiter and an ATS (Greenhouse preferred)
- Startup experience is a plus, but the right mindset matters more than the resume line
Why Sigma
- You'll partner directly with engineering leadership, not just execute requests
- You'll own your roles end to end with real autonomy
- The work is visible: every hire you make shapes the team we become
- We're growing fast, which means this role grows too
