About our client Confidential About the role Our client is building a fast-growing consumer product used by tens of millions of users globally, and they’re looking for an Android engineer who cares deeply about product quality, speed, and user experience. You’ll join a small, highly technical team working on ambitious consumer-facing features across chat, profiles, AI-powered experiences, animations, onboarding, and mobile UX. This is not a role where tickets get handed down from layers of management. Engineers here are expected to think independently, make product decisions, collaborate closely with design and product, and move quickly. They care about craftsmanship, product intuition, and execution speed equally. The team is fully remote and primarily based across Europe. Key responsibilities Build and ship Android features using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose Collaborate closely with product, design, backend, and mobile teams Make thoughtful UI/UX and product decisions independently Prototype and iterate quickly on new consumer product experiences Contribute to architecture, performance, and product quality Work on highly interactive and visually polished mobile experiences Help improve engineering velocity and development workflows Participate in technical discussions and product planning Maintain high engineering standards while moving fast About you Strong Android engineering experience with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose You ship quickly and care deeply about product quality You are comfortable operating autonomously with high ownership You have strong product intuition and can make decisions independently You enjoy working on consumer products with fast iteration cycles You communicate clearly and collaborate well with designers and engineers You are pragmatic, curious, and highly execution-oriented You thrive in small, high-talent teams Nice to have Experience building high-scale consumer mobile apps Experience with AI-powered features or modern mobile AI integrations Strong eye for UI polish, motion, and interaction design Startup or early-stage experience Experience working in highly asynchronous remote teams
