The role

SCA will support to the entire SC Finance team by performing various day to day Controlling activities under the frame of the Global Finance Control Framework for TMICC. The journey of centralization of Controls conducted in Europe in the last 5-10 years created a Central Control Tower. You will support the Controlling Team of EUROPE specifically under the Supply Chain Centralized Operational Model.

What you'll be responsible for

  • Supporting the EU SC Hub entity from a Financial Controls standpoint (NL based Entity) in all centralized Control related tasks
  • Execute the transactional and operational activities on financial reporting area for SC Hub, including but not limited to, the delivery and completion of the Month-End close process.
  • Ensure timely, complete and accurate accounting and reporting, both for Group as well as local/statutory and tax purposes.
  • Execute financial controls for SC Hub within direct area of responsibility and support for the monitoring of all controls under the financial controlling purview
  • Partner with the Europe controlling teams in the Business Units in accounting and reporting matters impacting SC Hub entity
  • Support the external and internal audits as per required activities
  • Supporting Fixed asset related tasks (Marlin system/replacement, FA capitalization/disposal, inventories, capex forecasting)
  • Blackline (journal entries) posting for all sites in Europe - mainly during MEC
  • Ensuring that local controls are up to standard and that local legal requirements are met in the areas of competence
  • Sundry sales support where relevant
  • Restructuring invoices across Factories and SC Hub
  • Providing support in factory budgeting, forecasting and weekly reporting process where relevant
  • Providing ad hoc analysis if needed
  • Providing relevant support for internal/external audits, statistical report for authorities
  • Participating in knowledge transfer processes as priority
  • Collaborating in updating procedures and documentation as we progress towards the exit of the TSAs with Unilever. 

We're looking for someone who

  • Finance graduate with at least 5 -7 year experience in Finance department
  • Functional knowledge & working experience in Record to Report processes in SAP (preferably in SAP-Controlling modules such as Financial reporting; Cost centre accounting; Internal Orders and Profitability Analysis modules
  • Ability to network and influence cross functional stakeholders with a proven record in delivering consistent & quality of service in Month End Close processes, Reporting and Consolidation
  • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding and solid application of analytical tools – Power BI; Microsoft Excel and proficiency in using Power point would be highly desirable
  • Cost Accounting, Controls role a plus
  • Experience on independent position with limited supervision
  • Experience in building up or transforming processes
  • Project Management, knowledge transfer or production controlling experience would be an advantage
  • Thinks end-to-end and takes ownerships for results
  • Is comfortable working in a fast-moving, evolving organisation
  • Values collaboration, clarity and low-ego ways of working
