Demand Planning Manager

OUR ROLE

Demand Planning Manager is accountable for delivering EMEA demand plan in collaboration with Sales by integrating statistical baseline with campaign and new product forecasts. This role leads EMEA demand planning team and process across both the tactical S&OP and short term horizon, ensuring that demand assumptions are reliable and realistic, risks and opportunities are transparent, and demand plan is aligned with the business plans. High level of collaboration with Sales and Sales Finance is essential to secure a shared view of demand drivers, commercial priorities and financial implications. Demand Planning Manager drives continuous improvement of forecasting processes, tools, quality of demand plan and team capabilities.

This position is based in Espoo, Finland and reports to the Director, Planning EMEA . The role is full-time and follows a hybrid working model.

WHAT YOU’LL DO AT FISKARS

  • Demand Planning — Manage, consolidate, and communicate regional and category demand plans, including risks, opportunities and key drivers. Lead demand review meetings with sales regions and ensure alignment with business plans.

  • Statistical Forecasting — Coordinate and develop statistical forecast process and quality up to an 18‑month horizon.

  • NPD Forecasting — Monitor new product forecast against business case and flag and solve biggest deviations with product and sales teams.

  • Demand–Supply Balancing — Create Demand-Supply Balancing scenarios in collaboration with E2E Planning teams for decision making.

  • Sales and Operations Execution — Oversee the short‑term execution process with E2E Planning and Sales Teams and manage availability allocation in supply shortage situations with Customer Service. Track performance vs. forecast and identify over/under‑forecast situations and assign corrective actions.  

  • Team Leadership — Actively coach and develop demand planning team members to strengthen functional excellence and drive continuous development and learning culture.

  • Ways of Working Development — Develop and enhance planning processes, tools, and governance within your scope and across EMEA and globally driving increased maturity and standardization.

WHO YOU ARE

Experience:

  • MSc in Supply Chain Management, Economics, Industrial Engineering, MBA or similar.

  • 5+ years in Supply Chain preferably IBP/S&OP/S&OE, demand or supply planning.

  • Strong understanding of IBP/S&OP processes, demand planning and forecasting, supply and inventory planning and supply chain fundamentals.

  • Experience operating in multi‑market / global Supply Chain environments.

  • Proven track record in leading cross‑functional planning processes or projects influencing decision making across commercial, supply chain, and finance.

  • Experience with advanced planning systems (APS), ERP, and analytics tools like Power Bi.

  • Leadership experience either direct people leadership or matrix leadership.

  • Professional working proficiency in English (daily working language in Fiskars).
