Job description

The Warehouse Manager will work in a fast-paced, bespoke environment that involves building custom event sets, props, furniture, and structures. Unlike standard distribution, this role requires managing raw materials (wood, metal, foam, textiles) alongside high-value finished, fragile event assets, and managing tight, project-based deadlines.

Warehouse Manager will be a highly organized with hands-on experience to oversee the daily operations of our event fabrication workshop. The ideal candidate will manage the receiving, storage, and dispatch of raw materials and finished custom builds, ensuring that props, furniture, and event structures are securely stored and delivered on time to job sites. He will maintain inventory accuracy,lead the warehouse team, and ensure a safe, efficient working environment, collaborating closely with installation and project managers to meet tight project deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Logistics & Project Coordination: Coordinate with workshop managers to plan for inbound and outbound materials.
  • Logistics & Project Coordination: Coordinate with installation and project managers to plan for inbound materials and outbound, high-priority delivery of finished fabrication projects to even sites.
  • Inventory & Stock Control: Manage, track, and conduct regular audits of stock levels for raw materials (lumber, metal, foam, fabric), consumables, inventory of custom-built, rental, or reusable event assets, and spare parts.
  • Storage & Facility Management: Implement and optimize storage layouts for large-scale, unique, or fragile event pieces to maximize space and ensure easy access.
  • Shipping & Receiving: Inspect incoming raw materials for quality and quantity, and oversee the packing, loading, and secure transport of finished goods to project locations.
  • Team Leadership & Safety: Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff. Ensure compliance with OSHA standards, and maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work environment (including tool maintenance).
  • Equipment Operation: Oversee the operation of machinery, including forklifts, high-reach vehicles, and pallet jacks to load/unload trucks.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain digital inventory records, delivery documentation, and project tracking reports

 

  • Minimum 10+ years of warehouse management experience, preferably in an event fabrication environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in warehouse / logistics management, business administration, or any related field.
  • Strong proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and Microsoft office.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a team under high-pressure, deadline-driven scenarios.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities to handle tight deadlines and unexpected, last-minute project changes.
  • Basic understanding of event construction materials (welding, carpentry, printing, foam, fabric).
  • Ability to resolve complex technical issues under tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Typical Working Conditions
• Environment: Must be able to work in a workshop environment, which may include loud noise, dust, and heat, with some on-site installation work.
• Hours: May require working evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet event deadlines.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle tight deadlines and to work on site, which may include lifting, standing for long periods, and working in varied conditions.
