OVERVIEW
The News Desk Associate Producer is an essential team member in our newsroom, ensuring CNBC offers world-class content on global business and finance through guest interviews.
The ideal candidate for this position will have keen interests in global economy, international relations, financial markets, businesses as well as investments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to interact with people and be able to ask tough, intelligent, and balanced questions to high-profile key stakeholders in the global business and finance industry. You’ll consistently strive to acquire new knowledge and skills and demonstrate perseverance and resilience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll do:
Pursue first or exclusive interviews with news makers and market movers in the world of business and finance.
Build and maintain relationships with new and established guests, PRs and key stakeholders.
Collaborate with show teams to develop live segments by finding and securing compelling guests for the shows.
Conduct pre-interviews with strong news judgment and prepare guests for their on-air appearances resulting in robust interviews.
Write compelling interview pitches to guests, news headlines and interview articles as required.
Communicate effectively with show teams, Senior Producers and News Editors, Anchors, and Operations teams regarding guest interviews.

Experience in news/current affairs.
Knowledge in global markets.
A track record of securing business and/or political interviews.
Produce written, audio, or video content focused on economy, businesses and financial markets
