Job description
The Senior Security Officer at Access Bank PLC plays a crucial role in safeguarding the bank's information systems by implementing robust security measures and monitoring activities to prevent unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber threats. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and analyze security incidents to detect and respond to threats promptly. Implement and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards across the organization. Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and recommend remediation actions. Coordinate with IT and other departments to ensure security controls are integrated within systems and processes. Support incident response efforts, including investigation and mitigation of security breaches. Maintain and update security documentation and reports. Provide training and awareness sessions to employees on security best practices. Assist in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal audits.
Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in (Facilities, Security Management, Law, Risk, IT, Engineering, Criminology, Military Science) or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years' experience in information security or related fields. 2 years in leadership/Supervisory Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISA, or CompTIA Security+ a, CPP, CISM, CFE, ISO 22301 / BCM, PSP, APP/AML certifications are preferred. Solid understanding of information security frameworks and standards. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Experience in incident response and vulnerability management.
