What you'll do This role resides within Inmarsat’s Enterprise Business Unit’s Solutions Engineering team, applying commercial as well as lease engineering knowledge of the provision of lease connectivity opportunities to industry, focusing on the Enterprise Industrial IoT & M2M strategy in support of the new business sales teams. This role is ideally suited to an expert pre-sales engineer with a consistent track record of accomplishment in supporting new business sales through capturing customer requirements and positioning Inmarsat lease products and services. The candidate should have strong project management skills to coordinate the multifaceted approach to building lease designs, ensuring delivery. This role will best suit a team player who is able to be a self-starter and self-motivated with experience of working in multi-functional teams in a global environment. The day-to-day Supporting new business lease sales with technical expertise when engaging business development opportunities globally.globally in services like dynamic leasing, PMP, and IoT leases Accurate understanding of the Inmarsat solutions to support and guide in the design and deployment of the most adequate ad-hoc solution for customers Handling professional relationships with Partners, Customers, System Integrators and capability vendors as well as internally with CPM, and COO Lease teams and other engineering teams to ensure that lease projects are delivered effectively and on schedule. Ensure the delivery of new lease services or solution is to the appropriate level of quality, on time and in accordance with the project plan and KPI's Comfortable in delivering presentations and hosting engineering workshops to new solutions providers to highlight value in partnership with Inmarsat – including but not limited to our commercial lease offerings. Coordinating, testing, staging and deploying lease solutions on customer’s site locations and providing training and orientation to the customer on the solution application. Crafting project summary reports for senior leadership team Domestic and international travel to customer offices, project sites, training classes, and other destinations will be required. Extended trips up to four weeks to remote locations may be required What you'll need Degree or equivalent experience in Telecommunications, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or similar Background knowledge in pre-sales engineering Experience in a project management, technical administration, or related field role Intermediate to advance knowledge about satellite telecoms, including satellite payload, ground segment architecture and functioning and link budget analysis Able to work collaboratively and to build consensus across multiple functional teams Experience of delivering technical projects in sophisticated environments Strong organisational skills to keep track of all the active, new and past services, including contracts. Strong analytical, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences alike Knowledge of IP-based networks, handling of IP traffic, and IP behaviour Up to date knowledge of the IOT market trends and customer needs History of being a great teammate as well as a self-starter and self-motivated Experience of working proactively with both internal and external customers.
