THE JOB: As a Lead Barista at Starbucks, you’ll take charge of daily operations, ensuring the team runs efficiently in a high-volume and fast-paced environment. You’ll oversee deployment, handle guest interactions, and support your team during busy periods. This role combines operational leadership with hands-on coffee expertise, making it perfect for someone with supervisory experience and a love for the art of coffee.
THE STARTING RATE: $20.7781
THE DAY-TO-DAY
Oversee shifts across multiple locations, including two Starbucks and the deli, ensuring smooth operations
Deploy baristas to key stations and adjust as needed to maintain efficiency
Address guest concerns, resolve complaints, and handle voids or refunds using the POS system
Support the bar during peak times, operating equipment like espresso machines, nitro machines, and cold drip brewers
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
Foster a collaborative, positive work environment, addressing team challenges and managing strong personalities
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Six months experience as a food handler, counter attendant, fountain worker or cashier in a high-volume food establishment
Supervisory or leadership experience, preferably in a coffee shop or fast-paced Food & Beverage setting is preferred
Familiarity with Starbucks operations, including mobile orders and specialty equipment like espresso machines is preferred
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
