IT Asset Service Management Analyst

What success looks like in this role

Summary of the role: The IT Asset Service Management Analyst role will support the life cycle management activities associated with IT assets (i.e.: hardware, mobility devices, peripheral equipment). The role is responsible for managing the day to day activities required to manage and maintain the accuracy of assets utilizing electronic tools to perform review, verification and reporting of assets.

The position supports the management of the lifecycle for service assets (hardware, mobility devices, warranties, etc.) including inventory, compliance, usage and disposal, aiming to optimize the total cost of ownership and sustainability by minimizing operating costs and capitalizing on potential opportunities.

•

Analyzes and/or controls IT assets ensuring that administration of the acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets is carried out.

•

Manage continual process improvement of the process and service through policy and workflow updates.

•

Support asset data review and cleanup projects

•

Monitoring and verifying CMDB integrity for configuration items.

•

Assess and support other process owners that are integral to the ITAM process.

•

Manage and support the effective use of the CMDB and the supporting ITAM functions.

•

Contribute to the ITAM strategic plans and support projects related to it.

•

Ensure compliance with ITAM processes.

You will be successful in this role if you have

•

Excellent knowledge and experience with HW Asset Management processes, procedures and demonstrable expertise with all related touch points such as Procurement/Order Management, Stock/Inventory Management, Field Services, End Point Services

•

Proficient with ServiceNow ITSM and AM modules and ability to understand and troubleshoot catalog items that affect Asset Management functions

•

Expert level knowledge of Excel for data analysis to identify data discrepancies in the Asset and CMDB data. Methodology definition and execution for data correction in ServiceNow CMDB

•

Bachelor's degree in Math or Science discipline

•

Ability to work in a high energy and high intensity environment to meet and discuss topics with client stakeholders

•

Ability to work independently with minimal manager oversight and able to meet client deliverables in a timely manner

•

Work closely with teams in US, India and other regions to support and deliver client solutions

•

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

•

Ability and willingness to take initiative, work with abstract information and able to draw out critical action items meeting client requirements
