Job Description

Manages a lending team across multiple geographic regions and leads the Build to Rent product team for CRE. Under the oversight of the Lending Manager, Lenders manage the homebuilder and BTR lending processes from start to finish including co-managing work out functions with problem loans in conjunction with internal departments, as needed. Under the Lending Manager’s oversight, Lenders conduct due diligence, credit analysis, credit write-ups/submittals, modifications, etc. The Lending Manager manages all marketing aspects for new business, including but not limited to initiation of all calling/prospecting of regional homebuilders. Lending Manager provides oversight as the lending team underwrites each transaction, negotiates all deal points, prepares term sheets for customer submittal, orders appraisals, completes written financial analysis preparation and reviews loan documentation. Lending Manager is responsible for presenting ancillary business opportunities to clients and prospects and working with Lenders to ensure appropriate information, contacts, and follow-up are communicated. Reviews credit write ups for approvals [detailing flow through of land/land development and construction risks and mitigants]. Oversees portfolio management [including all loan and related borrower credit, any covenants and required reports], and sales performance of lending team. Reviews Lender/Credit Analyst prepared quarterly status reports and leads presentations to senior leaders and credit approvers. For problem loans, works out each transaction and deals; manages through issues inherent with workouts, working with internal departments to generate the highest recovery through disposition of asset. Manager is responsible for goal setting, coaching, hiring, portfolio allocation and performance management of the lending team. This position requires 25-30% travel (local and non-local).

Essential Responsibilities

Sustain profitability and growth of market/region.

Increase revenue through both lending and ancillary business opportunities.

Opine on and lead through strategic objectives on behalf of their region, group and in alignment with business line objectives.

Actively ensure compliance with all US Bancorp policies and procedures such as Code of Ethics and all Anti-Money Laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, information security and suspicious activity reporting requirements.

Essential Qualifications

12+ years of banking experience

7+ years of management experience

BA/MBA in finance, accounting, or other related field

Strong leadership abilities and strategic management skills

Knowledge of unit(s) and relation to industry

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Well-developed analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills

Considerable tact, diplomacy and people skills.

Accountabilities

Decisions are made in conjunction with major corporation programs, plans or strategies. Independent action is normally required although other division or senior managers are usually consulted before final action is taken.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, US Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401k contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $202,470.00 - $238,200.00 - $262,020.00
