Job Description
What will you work on?
The HR Manager is accountable to develop and deliver the people strategy for assigned organization(s) / business(es) at Spin Master. The HR Manager works collaboratively and in partnership with business leaders to develop and implement people strategies.
How will you create impact?
Organizational Design
- Collaborates with Business Leaders to interpret business needs and people priorities
Organizational Diagnostics
- Partners and consults with HR Center of Excellence leads to understand, assess, interpret, and build recommendations – presenting and partnering with Business Leaders to implement solutions
- Interprets results of analyses on talent management processes (e.g. attrition, movement, engagement survey results, compensation patterns), talent needs and risks, and identifies/shares information with Business Leaders with a view to collaboratively identifying solutions
People Plan
- Identifies gaps in current people plan and participates in creating a people plan for assigned organization(s) / business(es)
- In partnership with Business Leaders, implements talent movement plans
Leadership & Team Performance
- Assesses data, interprets information and presents insights and recommendations on leadership effectiveness and performance
Employee Relations & Compliance
- Solid knowledge of relevant labour legislation and jurisprudence
- Partners and consults with people leaders in the area performance management
- Demonstrates problem solving skills, analytical skills, critical thinking, and conflict management skills with a track record of bringing employee relations issues to resolution

- Excellent communication skills (both written verbal)
- Self-motivated player with high energy and ability to work independently
- A dynamic, forward-thinking professional who demonstrates strong relationship management skills
- Plays the role of "respectful agitator"; with an ability to drive and influence change and alternative thinking
- Resilient in a deadline driven environment; adept at maintaining focus & drive towards long-term objectives
- Domain experience in a variety of HR disciplines including Organizational Design & Effectiveness, Employee Relations and Compensation
- Strong business acumen with ability to operate effectively and provide HR support to business leaders
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing talent acquisition and talent management strategies
What are your skills and experience?
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in HR or related field (CHRP or equivalent is an asset)
- 5+ years of relevant HR experience
