Job description
- General Description: · Responsible for managing a secure entrance and perimeter for the facility · Learn all the jobs of your immediate staff. · Ensure completion and accuracy of reports done by staff · Complete daily and weekly reports as needed · Supervise, train, and evaluate performance of staff; implement disciplinary procedures when necessary. · Resolve employee’s conflicts and issues promptly and objectively. · Direct communication with company and outside services · Work in the Order Management System/Shop Floor · Work with the Plant Shipping/Shag Service/Traffic · Work with the Traffic Department to coordinate shipping date, times, and locations · Maintain logs for inbound and outbound trucks · Attend meetings as scheduled · Reports to Safety Manager · Other duties as assigned
Required skills
- Previous security related experience preferred but not required
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred but not required
- 10-key and computer skills required
- Ability to handle conflict
- Ability to think critically and problem solve
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Communication skills—written and verbal
- Ability to speak multiple languages is preferred but not required
- Self-starter and Team player
- Strong leadership / management skills
- Must be able to demonstrate effective people skills
- Reliable attendance record
- Must be able to pass a Background Check
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work in security guard shacks, security vehicles in hot and cold conditions
- Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Must be able to walk, run, sit and stand for extended periods of time
- Lift up to 50lbs.
