Lead technical and commercial discussions with clients
•
Challenge specifications to improve feasibility, cost efficiency, and performance
•
Position the company as a trusted engineering partner
•
Develop structural concepts for complex steel projects (e.g. silos, industrial structures, racking systems)
•
Validate technical feasibility and identify risks at an early stage
•
Interface with engineering teams to ensure full alignment
•
Lead the preparation of high-value, multidisciplinary offers
•
Define the bidding strategy together with key stakeholders
•
Ensure consistency between design, costing, planning, and risk assessment
•
Build and challenge cost models (materials, fabrication, installation)
•
Optimize solutions to achieve margin targets
•
Align engineering, project execution, purchasing, and sales departments
•
Drive internal reviews and decision-making processes
•
Defend pricing both internally and externally
•
Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
•
Strong expertise in steel structures (industrial / warehouse / rack structures)
•
Ability to understand and challenge structural calculations
•
8–10+ years in
•
Structural engineering / steel construction
•
Technical sales or project engineering
•
Proven track record on complex, multidisciplinary projects
•
Strong client-facing capabilities
•
Ability to combine technical depth with commercial pragmatism
•
Skilled in negotiation and influencing stakeholders
•
Ownership (technical + commercial results)
•
Structured, solution-driven approach
•
Comfortable in an international, fast-paced environment
•
Fluent English (German is a strong asset)
•
Willingness to travel internationally frequently
