How will your contributions be valued?
Relational Database Management System
- Provide on-call support for the relational database management system to ensure compliance with service agreements;
- Deliver daily Level 3 support to all Customer Experience Advisors, Professional Services Specialists, and Developers regarding the use of the relational database management system;
- Administer LGI client databases by applying best practices (optimal parameter configuration, backup strategies, etc.);
- Demonstrate expertise with SQL Server high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On);
- Manage and control database access permissions.
Optimization and Improvement of Work Tools
- Optimize external client databases to ensure maximum performance and resolve recurring issues;
- Test internal database-related solutions and recommend improvements or changes to existing methods when required;
- Develop and write training materials, procedures, and documentation to enable advisors and specialists to provide first-level support whenever possible. This training and support responsibility also applies to external clients.
Problem Analysis
- Clearly identify issues and develop action plans to recover databases in the event of disasters (corruption, data deletion, or similar situations);
- Analyze and minimize the risk of service outages for external clients by proposing redundancy tools and processes for environments.
Other Related Responsibilities
- Provide guidance during RFP processes and supply relational database management system information for proposal documentation when needed;
- Participate in training sessions and professional development workshops to ensure high-quality service delivery to internal and external clients;
- Collaborate actively with the SQL Server Architect (modeling, strategic direction, etc.).
What you will bring to LGI Healthcare Solutions to succeed in this role:
- University degree or other certification in Computer Science or combination of experience and expertise pertinent to the role;
- 10 years of experience working with database management systems;
- Commitment to ongoing training relevant to the role in order to stay current with technologies;
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server;
- Good knowledge of the Windows operating system;
- Knowledge of Oracle databases;
- Team spirit, attention to detail, and professional integrity;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to manage stress and priorities effectively;
- Self-sufficiency and autonomy;
- This position requires fluent French, as the candidate will work with documentation in French and communicate verbally and in writing with French-speaking partners, clients, vendors, and colleagues.
- Professional level English would be considered an asset.
