SUMMARY OF JOB
The Director of Patient Accounts Receivable provides leadership, planning, development, supervision and direction to all personnel and operations of the Hospital Billing Department.
The position is responsible for managing outstanding receivables which includes billing, follow-up, collections, customer service, cash posting and vendor management.
In addition, this position collaborates with other departmental managers to analyze and resolve operational issues that will improve organizational effectiveness, promotes teamwork among staff members, provides technical assistance, and assures the maintenance of an aggregated clinical information data base for financial, planning and external data reporting requirements.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum of ten years’ experience in hospital billing with at least three years supervisory experience.
Proven knowledge of clinical coding and denials management
Excellent organizational skills and customer service orientation.
Ability to interpret Federal, State, and regulatory standards pertinent to hospital billing.
