Surgery Center of Highlands Ranch is a state-of-the-art, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center experiencing rapid growth. We are seeking an experienced PreOp Registered Nurse (RN) to join our high-performing team.

We are proud to be the only ASC in Colorado equipped with the Da Vinci XI Surgical System , with plans to expand into a larger facility to support continued growth.

Position Summary

The PreOp RN is responsible for delivering high-quality patient care during the preoperative phase, ensuring patients are fully prepared for surgery while maintaining safety, comfort, and compliance with clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive preoperative assessments, including cardiovascular, respiratory, neurological, and overall health status
  • Evaluate patient readiness for surgery and identify potential risks or concerns
  • Develop and implement individualized preoperative care plans
  • Administer medications safely in accordance with established protocols
  • Provide patient and family education on procedures, expectations, and postoperative care
  • Ensure completion and accuracy of required documentation and medical records
  • Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff to coordinate care
  • Advocate for patient safety, comfort, and privacy throughout the preoperative process
  • Maintain compliance with infection control, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Communicate patient status effectively to the perioperative team during hand-offs
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in ICU, ED, PACU, and/or Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
  • Current and active RN license in the state of practice, in good standing

Certifications

Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required within 90 days of hire (or current certification upon hire)

Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire (or current certification upon hire)

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 90 days of hire if caring for pediatric patients (or current certification upon hire)

Specialty certification in Perioperative or Perianesthesia Nursing preferred

USD $28.61/Hr. USD $50.00/Hr.
